AFCON CLASH

Guinea boss offers injury update on Liverpool's Naby Keita ahead of AFCON clash

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has been backed to start for Guinea in their Africa Cup of Nations showdown against Nigeria.
Having been sidelined since the Reds' Champions League semi-final first leg loss to Barcelona, the No. 8 made his return from injury as a substitute in his side's 2-2 draw with Madagascar.
And Guinea boss Paul Put offered a further update on the midfielder ahead of their second Group B match, telling reporters Keita could be ruled fit to start.
He trains at 200%. I think he is physically ready. If he is mentally ready, I think he will start the game.
"Because there is a Syli with Naby Keita and a Syli without him, that we saw during the preparation when Guinea lost all three games without him."trk.indoleads.com/5d09455265705
